Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh
paid a visit at the Golden Temple along with his mother Shabnam Singh
to thanked lord after he became the highest-paid cricketer in the
history of Indian Premier League.
Singh was brought by Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise at a staggering price of Rs. 14 crore. So far, Delhi-based Gautam Gambhir was the highest-paid cricketer after he was brought for Rs. 11.04 crore by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2011.
RCB team principal Vijay Mallya said: "We wanted to strengthen our bowling and Yuvraj will help do that. The team is looking good now."
This week has been particularly good for the Indian all-rounder. He
was also selected for the Twenty20 World championship scheduled to take
place from March 16 to April 6.
