Adding to the incertitude regarding the timing of the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has, reportedly, given its go ahead to the BCCI for holding matches post the General Elections. However, the MHA, it is believed, has directed the Board to discuss security related issues with the concerned state governments.
According to reports earlier on Monday, the MHA okayed a proposal from the BCCI to hold "44 of the 60" matches of IPL 7 within the country, with Bangladesh being the favourite to host the first 14 matches of the cash-rich league
